Recalculate Commitments on Sale orders

Could you please suggest on the below.

Does the backorder release report-R42118 has the option to recalculate the qty?

The scenario is we have an SO order created for 1qty->no qty exists so order went into backorder (qty shipped=1/qty backordered=0)->later some qty is available->

BO released for the item->By the time we use the qty for the intended sale order it was used by other transaction (or on other order)

Now is there a way to recalculate the commitments on the first order wherein we expect to see qty shipped=0 and qty BO=1? (As there is not enough qty to suffice the need)
