PSU patching with dataguard configured with FSFO and observer

Hello,

Product is Oracle database

Version is 19.7 on RHEL7.9

Single instance primary with single instance physical standby.

Dataguard has been configured with fast-start failover and observer.

I will be patching the environment with the April PSU, applying it to the standby first and then the primary as per How do you apply a Patchset,PSU or CPU in a Data Guard Physical Standby configuration (Doc ID 278641.1).

I have never had a DG environment with FSFO and observer and I am planning to to stop the observer and disable FSFO before I close the databases down for the patching to stop any automatic failover and to ensure the environment is quiet.
