Oracle Product: Oracle Linux

Version: 7.9

We have multiple Oracle 7.9 Linux servers running VNC setup based on xinetd with XDMCP for GDM.  After about 55 concurrent gnome-sessions, GDM will fail to give a login window preventing other users from logging in.

We have configured XDMCP to allow 100 MaxSession but we are being limited to 55.

/etc/gdm/custom.conf

[security]

AllowRemoteRoot=true

DisallowTCP=false

[xdmcp]

Enable=true

MaxSessions=100

From my research, I’m thinking the problem might be related to the “dbus-daemon resource limits” but I cant confirm.

gdm-launch-environment][326421]: AccountsService: Failed to connect to the D-Bus daemon: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded: The maximum number of active connections has been reached

Howdy, Stranger!
