Backup restore

Hi All,

We are on 19.17 database version

2 node RAC - ASM

PROD - 2 node

UAT - 2 node(existing and used by users)

We have a tool - Data protector which takes backup of database and filesystem(say /u01,/u02 where RDBMS and GRID homes are located).

We would like to test restore of database and homes to existing UAT server. Can we do this?

Let's say,if my grid home is in /u02/grid_prod/19c->tool takes backup of /u02.

Can we delete everything in /u02 in UAT and restore from DP tool,will this work for grid. I hope,it will work for oracle home.
