Service Request: Planned Task Duration Calculation

RDBMS : 12.1.0.2.0

Oracle Applications : 12.2.9

Currently the task planned effort is based upon the task type effort (UOM and Duration). We would like a method that this is calculated based upon the task type and the equipment type for the task.

For example:

The same task type of dispatch and service request type of maintenance is used for the below customer visit.

A maintenance visit for a furnace, the effort is 2 hours. Item = FURNACE

A maintenance visit for an ATM machine, the effort is 4 hours. Item = ATM

Since there are many models of the item, it would make sense to use an item category to be able to assign effort to the task
