Dynamic open enrollment tile using CREF attribute TILEAPPFILTER - tile disappears

PeopleSoft HCM PUM 44, tools 8.59.15

This is an issue that impacted our open enrollment in May and I do have an open SR about it. No else has reported it so I wanted to open it for discussion or awareness for people who may not have encountered it yet.

The issue:

We are using the new open enrollment tile that uses the portal content reference attribute TILEAPPFILTER and we have the Open Enrollment Definition page configured in HR. https://blogs.oracle.com/peoplesoft/post/benefits-open-enrollment-tile This seemed to work fine for most users but we found a few that reported when they logged in they were unable to see the open enrollment tile. We run FSCM and HR with HR acting as our portal. After tracing, we discovered the reason why is that in structure and content the "tile content" page of the employee self service homepage in financials had the "open enrollment" tile checked on and marked as optional. This is a product of unified navigation. Unchecking this box resolved the issue for us and everyone was then able to see the open
