EBS multitenant database conversion from single node to RAC DB

Our objective is to convert prod single node EBS database to RAC. Before converting prod DB, we want to make sure our lower ENV is converted to RAC.

We copied source dbTechStack binaries from source to target RAC cluster. We created RAC enabled DBTECHSTACK on target cluster. We also want to use LISTENER running from GRID_HOME. How can we make sure appsTier services also use RAC enabled DB services?

Can someone please help this? I tried to find the KB article on MOS but no luck. I found one Doc ID 2530665.1 but it is partially matching my requirement.
