Upgrading EPM 11.2.8 to 11.2.13 - Distributed Installation

Hi

We have 2 machines with Windows 2022 Server. One machine hosts the Foundation Server with Essbase (EAS and Provider Services Java Web Applications) and another machine hosting only the Essbase Server.

When we are planning to upgrade 11.2.8 to 11.2.13 through opatch, should we run the ApplyUpdate script on both the servers (First Foundation host, followed by the Essbase host).

Is the following correct sequence?

  1. Perform necessary Pre-requisites
  2. Apply Update on Foundation host
  3. Redeploy and configure Foundation services (Deploy to Application Server and Config Web Server)
  4. Apply Update on Essbase host
  5. Reconfigure Essbase server
