Is there a recommended strategy for defining extract groups?

We are converting from another replication tool, with several dozen tables in replication - is there a tip on how best to define extract groups. For instance spread the busiest tables across all extract groups, put the most critical replications in the same extract, put them all in one?

In the other tool it would just drop a table from replication and continue on with the rest here it seems that the entire Replicat will abend until the issue is resolved.

Looking for any suggestions.
