Customers with shared VAT registration numbers (VAT Group) (R12)

Hi

Apart from the rather ugly option of setting up a DUMMY tax regime, does anyone have any useful ideas of how to structure customers where multiple legal entities (own customer registration) are members of a VAT Group and share the same VAT registration number?

This fairly common situation appears to have been completely ignored in E-tax.
