California disposable earnings for Maximum Garnishment Withholding Amounts effective 9/1/2023

As per the state California Senate Bill 1477 - Effective as of 9/1/2023, the maximum amount of an individual's disposable earnings for a week subject to levy will be the lesser of:
- 20% of the individual’s disposable earnings for that week; or.
- 40% of the amount by which the individual's disposable earnings for that week exceed 48 times the state or local minimum hourly wage, whichever is higher, in effect at the time the earnings are payable.
