CUM by sold to or ship to

Hi, using JDE 9.2.

We have customers that are CUM based. When we set them up in Demand Rules P40R20, if we want the CUMs to be calculated by ship to, do we need to add a ship to? Said another way, if we only set a customer up by Sold to, are the CUMs calculated by Sold To?
