ORACLE_HOME/CTX/tmp getting filled up

Hello,

Everytime CTX indexes are being rebuilded it fills up the directory mentioned in the title. What are those generated data used for? The operation ends up on inssufficient space. Is it possible to disable it or force to generate it to other location with more of the free space? The DB version is 19.20 running on rhel 7.
