Item Group - Free Goods - E1 9.1

The user wants to create an adjustment where when the customer buys five or more items in an item group, they are awarded a free item chosen from a free goods catalog.

What would be the best way to approach this? Does a basket level adjustment allow an item to be chosen from the catalog?

I'm not new to advanced pricing, but I'm struggling to get this one to work. Any advice?
