Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How does item cross reference function on parts list using CAM?

We are in JDE 9.2.7. I am curious as to how the item cross reference works in conjunction with the work order parts list for type VN? I couldn't find any documentation on how it actually works. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
