Vendor Item Cross reference supported on P3002

Hello,

We have a case, where we would like to use on the Bill of material the vendor code rather than 2nd item number (LITM)

now even if we use the shortcut defined under P41001 which is #, we are getting the below error:

"RECORD NOT FOUND" and the system is not validating the vendor item code with the 2nd item code in P4104 and update it correctly.

Note: we are using the cross reference code "VN"

kindly let us know if this feature is supported on Bill of Material Application (P3002) or not?
