Mixed OL version RAC cluster

We currently run a 3 node RAC on OL 6.10 servers (srvrA/B/C).

The cluster runs Oraclegrid & OracleDB 11.2.0.4

We plan to upgrade the servers to OL 7.9

In order to perform a rolling upgrade we propose the following :

Remove srvrA from the RAC cluster

Upgrade srvrA to OL 7.9

(Re) Add srvrA to the RAC cluster

repeat for srvrB & srvrC


Is this a viable upgrade plan ?

Is a mixed OL version cluster possible


If our proposition is not possible do you have any advice how we might achieve our goal ?
