Open a .exe from a composite page

Hello,

We were using Internet explorer for JDE.

We are now switching to Edge.

In internet explorer, we were able to to run an executable from a composite page using a url task that refers to a .bat file.

However, Edge takes the .bat file as a .txt file and doesn't show the pop up window asking to run the executable. It opens the text in the window,

It was really helpful for us to be able to open home made apps from a composite page. It allows the user to have all the things he needs to execute a process at the same place and in the good order.
