Which JAVA to patch prior to applying WLS patchset 35679623

Hi all,

My OEM is successfully patched to 13.5 RU16. Weblogic Server version is 12.2.1.4.0. OS Platform is Linux x86_64. WLS and OEM are in the same server.

MW_HOME-/u01/app/oracle/Middleware

WL_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/Middleware/wlserver/server

One of the pre-requisites of applying the patchset is to update the Java SE to the required version as per the ReadMe for patchset 35679623. 2 patches are mentioned in the ReadMe:

  1. 18143322: Oracle JDK 1.8.0
  2. 27838191: Oracle JDK 11.0.0.0.0

Question:

  1. Which Java patch should I apply
  2. Which location(s) should I apply it to?

I know there are a few Java (jdk folder) locations in the server (not limited to the 2 below):
