Ship Method change impact on SSD/SAD in EBS sales order

Hi,

We are on Oracle EBS R12.2.9. We have a connected ASCP instance as well.

Assuming a sales order where order date type is arrival, which means that any updates can't directly be made to SSD, rather SAD is updated and then the system re-calculates SSD by considering delivery lead time on line level.

But when the shipping method is updated on line level - it is updating SSD and not SAD. How is this possible with order date type as arrival?

We can stop any date update in this case if we set system parameter 'Reschedule with Ship Method Change' to No but that's not what we want to do.
