Can I copy a grid from one report to another? 11.2.13

I created a new report with one grid. I should have added this grid to an existing report that has 3 grids. Is there a way to copy this grid from the new report to the other report?

I see I can save the grid as a report object. I have never done such a thing before. If I save the grid, I assume I can insert it into the existing report, but can I then delete the grid object, because I do not want it hanging around?
