link in HFM tasklist to open FDMEE worked in 11.2.11, but not in 11.2.14 now

EPM 11.2.14 with HFM, FDMEE, oracle database

OHS using https. Clients using Edge or Chrome browser

in tasklists, the link used was ../../workspace/index.jsp?module=aif.launch

with only the option include SSO info Yes. Not to open in separate browser window

works fine in 11.2.11 environment. Other environment upgraded to 11.2.14: the link fails,

prompts the user Do you want to leave this page?

and says that data may be lost.

and then if you actually click Cancel, It will open the FDMEE tab next to the HFMweb tab in the same browser. But this is not acceptable.
