Supplier Business name vs Legal name

One of our Suppllier, legal name is different from Business name. For example, Business name on their W-9 is 'TEST Technologies' and Legal name is 'ABCDEFGH LLC'. We have created supplier record in Oracle EBS with supplier name as TEST Technologies because invoices come with this name and we pay to the same name. But we wanted to print legal name 'ABCDEFGH LLC' on 1099, how could we achieve that? do you think populating Alternate Supplier name with ABCDEFGH LLC' helps? Populating alternate supplier name messes up the payment records?

Note: The names given here are not real names, just gave the sample name for illustration purpose.
