Can you use page & field configurator for ePerformance instead of Text catalog?

I have different ePerformance templates where I don't want to change the step titles on all of them. I had tried to use page and field configurator to change the text based on the template, but configurations in page and field configurator are not showing up.

Has anyone else tried this or had any success with using page and field configurator instead of changing text in ePerformance text catalog?
