RDMAV_FORK_SAFE environment not set - Oracle Database 19c

Version : 19.3.0.0

upgrade from : 12.2.0.1

Issue : numerous logs getting generated in

D:\Oracle\Database\diag\rdbms\<MyDatabaseName>\iasdb\trace

(My location : D:\Oracle\Database\diag\rdbms\iasdb\iasdb\trace)


Hi Oracle Guru's,

i recently upgraded my Oracle Database from 12.2.0.1 to 19.3.0.0 version,

after upgrade i observed that the following RDBMS location is generating numerous trace and trm files like 2+ million 1KB files and few 50KB files in the location.


in the trace files, the following is logged, can you please advice which variable needs to be set

Required IPC RDMAV_FORK_SAFE environment not set

Required IPC RDMAV_HUGEPAGES_SAFE environment not set
