What is a preferred image dimension for uploading employee pictures in PepleSoft HCM?

When allowing employees to upload photos through the "upload photo" feature (using employee self-service), is there a recommendation or preferred picture size/dimensions to follow? We are on PeopleSoft HCM Image 43 and PeopleTools 8.60.08

According to the MOS articles, system automatically resizes pictures after uploading and in order to fit them into different sizes depending on the page/area it is shown. Due to this, photos are either scrunched or stretched. Any ideas?
