Why is P6 UDF data missing after import from MS Project UIDs?

P6 EPPM and P6 Professional, v18

I'm having import translation issues, Microsoft Project Unique Id (MSP UID) custom field data mapped to P6 Unique Data Fields (P6 UDF). Import type is Microsoft Project XML.

I ensured the MSP UID and P6 UDF names are exactly the same, ensured the data types were the same, and mapped accordingly. After import, the MSP UID data is missing from the corresponding P6 UDF columns.
