Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. What triggers R42997 to cancel a line instead of placing it to backorder?

Hi Everyone,

Is there a document that explains which criteria R42997 checks in order to decide if a line should be backordered or cancelled?

We are not using cancelation and still get some case from time to time which disturbs our process.

The only criteria we are aware of are:

Backorder not alowed at customer or item level
Partial shipment not allowed at customer level

Anything else?
