Annual leave accrual for some employees returning from STD does not process for that period

Peoplesoft HCM 9.2, PUM 45

When our classified employees return from STD, the annual leave accrual for that period does not process. Our admins indicate that this started when we upgraded to HCM 9.2, PUM 40 from HCM 9.0. When our faculty members return from STD, their leave accrual IS processing. They are on different leave types

I am fairly new to HCM, and am asking what configurations do I need to research to help determine why the leave accrual is not processing for one group, but is for another?

I appreciate your assistance!
