Easiest way to get rid of the incorrect asset from the system

Hi AM Expert,

We have a scenario where some assets has been loaded without the financial data into the system (around 1100). This was due to incorrect asset profile effective date. Now we need to get rid of this assets and reload it.

We tried asset deletion using mass update transaction but it's practically not feasible as the assets are not in series. We may have do through the sql.

Is there an easier way to get rid of these assets? We are open to a suggestion like updating the status or anything which will be easier. These assets are just a shell.
