TDE in multitenant Isolated mode

Running on an X8-2 ODA, bare metal, linux 7 with TDE and multitenant packages.

I'm migrating from 12.1.0.2 (X5-2 ODA) non-CDB to 19.17 PDB databases. Only a couple of databases use TDE (for tablespace encryption).

My question is: Does the CDB need to be TDE enabled (i.e. autologin with keystore password) before I use isolated mode for the migrated/upgraded 12.1.0.2 databases?
