In what scenario would Serial number be in Status 8: Resides in WIP

Oracle R 12.2.11

Hi,

Trying to understand when a serial number will have status 8.

Is the below understanding correct.

a) Flow Manufacturing in a WMS enabled org for Serialized Finished Assemblies.

b) Flow Completion into LPN --Status of serial becomes 8:Resides in WIP

c) Once the Putaway is done the Serial status becomes 3: Resides in Stores.
