Adding encryption to existing Data Guard configuration

I'm on ODA X8-2-HA version 19.20, I currently have a few DBs that are set up with Dataguard to another identical ODA. They do not, nor have they ever used encryption. At least one of the DBs is over 8 TB and takes 17+ hours to do a full RMAN backup.

Questions:

1) How do I enable TDE and have ODA recognize the DB is TDE enabled?

2) What do I need to do to keep DG running?

I can set up TDE on my test DB, but then ODA doesn't see that its TDE enabled and the dataguard configuration is now invalid.
