ECC Incremental vs Full Data loads

We're running ECC v10 on premise, and we've noticed that the incremental loads we run every half hour don't seem to be keeping data accurate. For example, our Payables ECC showed three periods open, which I knew wasn't correct; I ran the full load and now it correctly shows one period open.

Has anyone else encountered this?
