Postpone depreciation asset book

Oracle EBS R12 - Fixed Assets


Due to an incident in one of our installations, this installation is out of service for a number of months.

According to IFRS, we are allowed to suspend depreciation for the asset items in question. This means that for a number of periods no depreciation should take place for these asset items.

If we look at the asset items in Oracle Fixed Assets, you have the Depreciation checkbox. You can uncheck this and then no depreciation will take place for this asset item. However, the lifespan of the asset item becomes shorter with each period. This means that if you check the
