Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. JDE Migration from 9.1 to 9.2 - Big Bang vs. Phase Roll Out?

We are migrating from JDE 9.1 to 9.2.3 (E1 On Premise) and are debating on a big bang approach versus a phase in roll out.

Things to consider are:

We are also upgrading to a new iSeries P10 hardware and OS.
We have around 20 facilities or physically distant branch plants within scope.
Will be a like for like migration, meaning that no new features will be used. (i.e. UX1)
We have around customized objects that will need to be retrofitted.
We will be conducting CRP, ICR & UAT regardless of the approach.

The biggest concern with a big bang approach is the risk of bringing the company to a halt in case of any unforeseeable issue or problem.
