in Oracle Solaris Volume Manager (MOSC) Question

Hi,

I need to restore OS on an svm disk.This disk i will take out from a server and insert it in other server.This disk has 3 slices and the backup has 4 file systems (for 4 slices).

What are the steps to restore on this disk the 4 file systems?

  • remove the svm from this disk->i mean there are no md devices
  • insert the disk in second server
  • create 4 slices as the size to restore fs + for mddb
  • create 4 file systems
  • restore
  • install bootblk
  • remove the disk and insert in first server
  • boot
  • recreate md devices.
