Migrating FDMEE and ODI - 11.1.2.4 to 11.2.14/15

Hello fellow EPM enthusiasts,

I'm stepping into a project as an EPM consultant and facing an intriguing challenge I thought to share here. The project involves an EPM 11.1.2.4 environment where FDMEE is used as an orchestrator to invoke ODI 11g packages. These packages are created on a standalone ODI installation and executed via Jython scripts using the startscen utility.

As we gear up for a migration to EPM 11.2.x, I’m weighing the pros and cons of continuing with a standalone ODI 12c installation versus leveraging the ODI version that ships with FDMEE. As there is no support for a direct connection between ODI and Planning, and this needs to be orchestrated by FDMEE, I'm trying to find out what other consultants are doing.
