R11i to R12 upgrade AR open and close invoices

When we upgrade AR invoice in open status from R11i to R12 - does it create XLA records?

Im not seeing entries in XLA HEADERS or LINES?

And how about already Closed AR invoices - does it create entries in XLA tables? Can we unapply and reapply the Cash Receipt for the invoice that was upgraded in CLOSED status?
