Monitored port goes missing after DPDK is configured on OCSM Probe

in Acme Packet (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

Hello,

I faced a problem when was configuring OCSM Probe.

1) I installed version OCSM 5.0 on KVM virtual machine with Oracle Linux 7.9.

2) I connected two network devices to the virtual machine. One is virtual bridge for management and another is eth. port on Intel I350 which is connected as PCI pass-through device. Both device appeared in a list of the network-interfaces in output of "ifconfig" command

3) then I logged in to Probe GUI and enabled monitoring on PCI-PT port

4) then I installed and configured DPDK as it is described in the Installation guide.

5) after reboot PCI-PT port disappeared from the output of "ifconfig", though DPDK tool system_layout.py shows it in the list of PCI devices. Also in OCSM Probe GUI -> Capture settings in the list of Monitored devices this interface is displayed as N/A

Howdy, Stranger!
