Upgrade and Migration of Database and EBS from Solaris to Linux

Current OS version: Solaris Sparc 10

Current DB version : 11.2.0.3

Current EBS version: 12.1.3


Target

Linux 8


We are planning to Migrate to Linux first and then we are planning to Upgrade the database to 19c

Since 11.2.0.3 is not supported in Linux 8, is it possible to Migrate 11.2.0.3 (solaris) to 11.2.0.4 (linux) through XTTS method.

11.2.0.3 direct upgrade is not supported to move to 19c, that is why, we are planning to skip the 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4 point in upgrade in the source to minimize the downtime and also to take advantage of the XTTS method of moving directly to 11.2.0.4 (linux) in the target.

Question : Is it possible to Migrate Solaris 11.2.0.3 to Linux 11.2.0.4 through Transportable tablespace method? and then we will upgrade to 19c
