Oracle object last modification

Hi, We have an issue whereby I need to find out the last modification time of any object within a tablespace to identify if there are any active objects before we drop the tablespace. We don't have auditing enabled and the all_tab_modifications view doesn't appear to be always populated ? Is this possible ?
