Organization Chart by Job/Position not Supervisor?
I'm on JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.2.7.2.
I am researching how the Organization Chart (P05002x) works and my superiors are having an issue with the necessary maintenance of the Supervisor field to make the Org Chart consistently accurate.
They would prefer the Organization Chart to be set up with Job Type or position hierarchy (i.e. Lead Payroll Technician reports to Payroll Manager reports to Payroll Supervisor reports to Chief HR Officer reports to CEO). That way, for example, if our payroll manager changes positions or leaves the company and we get a new Payroll Manager, all Lead Payroll Technicians will not have to have their supervisor changed to the new manager, the org chart will know they have to be reporting to the new Payroll Manager regardless of supervisor field.
