Field required to capture information while making GRN and must appear on the material workbench

Hi All,

We have a requirement to capture a number while creating the GRN and the same field to be visible on the on-hand quantity screen (material workbench). There is no DFF at the on-hand quantity screen. So can we use any other standard field to capture this number (as LOV) which is also available in the onhand screen ?

FYI, we are using only purchasing, inventory modules for SCM activities and there is no MFG, Order mgmt, LCM etc.
