Can you enter asset into FA in future period?

Is it possible to add an asset into FA for the next calendar month? This would be required to allow funding to be made before the commencement of the contract.

Requirement is to have contract begin on 1st of the month following the assets delivery to customer. Currently unable to fund to dealer until 1st of following month which causes payment delays and incurred costs.
