How do we get the correct tax rate for a geocode?

JD Edwards World 9.4.0.1

We use Vertex and I have applied the latest update. When I do a rate lookup using the Vertex menus in JDE, it shows the correct taxes. However, when I try to look it up through the JDE menus, I get the old rate from before 1/1/23. What step am I missing? Or is there any reason JDE would not be synced with the Vertex rates?
