Giving away a configured item

We have a configured item with the kit/configurator pricing method (PMTH) = 4 in its item master.

Occasionally, due to a mis-configuration, we want to give away the configured item to the customer; in other words, give them a 100% discount.

For non-configured items, we set the price code 1 field to "FG"; this triggers a price adjustment that gives a 100% discount (this adjustment is for all items and all customers and only uses an order detail group that points to the price code 1 field).

Since the configured item's pricing method is set to 4, adding the "FG" to the parent item's sales order detail does not get the 100% discount.
