How to restrict data updates on period dimension when retrieving data in SmartView

Hello everyone,

I'm on 11.2.8 on-prem version and the application is planning based, however users now would need to only utilize SmartView Essbase connections for data updates and retrieves. Users are utilizing only SmartView to work on their Actuals, Forecast and Budget.

The security is currently based on the scenario, version, account, entity. I tried to create filter in Essbase EAS console, but unable to assign them in shared services under the Planning group.

create filter 'Appname'.'dbPLAN'.'App_PriorActualsLocked' 

read on '&App_LockedMonths, @IDESCENDANTS ("Years")',

write on '&App_CurrMth, &App_CurrYr'

grant filter 'Appname'.'dbPLAN'.'App_PriorActualsLocked' to group 'App_PriorActualsLocked';
