Why are we receiving an error in Manage Job (fluid) but not in Job Data (classic)?

When we add a row in Manage Job we are receiving an "Invalid value for field:Salary Administration Plan" and "Invalid value for field:Salary Grade" errors. However if we go into Job Data (classic) and do the exact same thing on the same person we do not get these errors. Since the delivered CI HR_JOBDATA_SAVE_CI is created from the component JOB_DATA which is the classic component, I would think all the edits would be the same. What am I missing?
