LVM with ASM

Hello All,

I am looking for documentation or recommendations on the use of LVM with ASM

Running Oracle ASM non rac with 19.21 cdb/pdb configuration.

ASM storage Support On LVM (Doc ID 2787499.1) To me is oddly wrote and not very clear but I may be reading it wrong.

"Oracle recommends that if you choose to use a logical volume manager, then configure the LVM to represent a single LUN without striping or mirroring, so that you can minimize the impact of the additional storage layer.

Oracle does not recommended using logical volume managers for mirroring because Oracle ASM provides mirroring. Although you can specify a logical volume as a device in an Oracle ASM disk group, Oracle does not recommend their use because it adds a layer of complexity that is unnecessary with Oracle ASM."
